Position Description
Marketing/Sales Position
Midwest Design Imports (Importer/Wholesaler of Floral Gifts & Decorative Accessories) is looking for a confident and resourceful individual to be a Marketing/Sales team member for our expanding business. In other words, we are looking for a hitter! This independent, competitive, “go getter” must have self-discipline, enjoy working with people and possess strong communication skills. The individual will have the opportunity to assist with an established customer base as well as generate new business.
The ideal candidate for this career opportunity will have:
· At least 2+ years consumer product retail experience or 4 year College degree in marketing
· Preferred Proven history of marketing and sales skills
· Must be able to travel domestically and internationally (must be passport eligible)
· Must be results driven
· Ability to build strong customer relationships
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Prepares and reviews quotations
· Ability to be Creative and imaginative for product development and growth
· Must have computer experience (Microsoft Office Applications), Adobe Photoshop and Quickbooks experience is a plus but not mandatory.
· Ability to handle multiple tasks with speed, accuracy and with varying deadlines.
· Excellent word processing, spelling, grammar, and organizational skills are necessary.
· Excellent listening, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proven self-starter, team player, and achievement-oriented
· Enjoys working with people
· Be able to represent the company to the public, customers, and suppliers.
· Requires ability to frequently stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Mandarin Chinese fluent would be a great communiction tool.
